Lunga circa un metro, vegetariana. La specie è stata descritta e nominata dal suo scopritore il naturalista tedesco Friedrich von Sellow.
Diffusione
I resti fossili sono stati ritrovati nei sedimenti dell'alto Pleistocene in Uruguay.
